Checking in
I didn't buy any books this week. Maybe I've been cured or there just hasn't been any I've come across I don't have access to.
I read:
Destined for an Early Grave (Night Huntress, #4) 4.5 stars. I loved this book! You can say the honeymoon is over in this one between Cat & Bones. It was great to see some conflict as we know any real relationship isn't going to be HEA. I laughed through much of it and there was a part where Bones ticked me off really good but I later forgave him.
First Drop of Crimson (Night Huntress World, #1) 4 stars. I went into this thinking from reading reviews that I wouldn't like it that it would be slow but I thoroughly enjoyed Spade's story. Yes it's more Romance than UF but it's done right enough to keep me interested.
Eternal Kiss of Darkness (Night Huntress World, #2) 3 stars. I just finished this a few minutes ago. It's was slow, boring and the romance which is the main part of the story unlike the other books it was not believable. I didn't feel the chemistry between them and this one could be called a Romance because it focused more on the physical relationship than the plot. Now normally I don't mind this as I love Romances it just wasn't done right. The only thing that saved it for me was Vlad and the small part Bones and Cat plays in the story.
So that means I can now read book 5 of Cat and Bones!! I'm also looking forward to Vlad's books. I'm in this to the end it seems. I can't read anything else even if I try I'm stuck in this world. Yes it's that good!
