The LOTR dude; sure. Everyone you named is at the SPL. Turns out that I've seen a couple of movies based on Roth's books, but never read any of his stuff. One surprise is that I've actually read a book by one of the ones you named - Name of the Rose by Eco. Great read and great movie. Still, none of the names register.
