Right, that is the normal Koreader suspend. If you use Tshering's Kobo Start Menu, you can start Koreader with none of the background functions of the Kobo user interface (UI) - Nickel, running. OK, that's a relief.

Is there a way to make Koreader display ebook cover or a specific image instead of the last read page when it goes to suspension?
Besides I believe the way Nickel handles the epubs is better than Koreader, since the figures in the epubs are displayed horribly pallid in Koreader. But for reading PDFs of all kinds, it's fantabulous. It even exceeds my expectations when it comes to PDF.
