Which font is the footer using? The footer font is chosen from one of these options:

If you have changed the footer patch to use a specific font, then that is always used.

Otherwise, if you have "Document Default" selected then the built-in Gothic font is used (and the built-in Gothic font has various problems with italic and bold in the current firmware).

Otherwise, the font you have selected from the device should be used.

Edit: On my Glo I set the footer and header patches to use the built-in Avenir font, which avoids problems with the built-in Gothic font.

Edit2: The rules for the footer font may be different on the Touch and Mini, or it might be that the problems with Gothic only appear on the other models.
