Yep, you are spot on booklover6 . There's an argument that its simplicity is why the Kindle is so successful (and why its so stable), whereas other people complain that it's not as customisable as the Kobo. Each to their own. And I agree that the Aura HD is a bit of niche product, it's why it was produced as a limited edition in the first place, and why it might not get an update. I have read it's been a big seller for Kobo though, so perhaps it might be worth their while, except they now have competition in this niche market.
The Onyx T68 is a totally different beast altogether though. Looks like you have to tinker with it to get the best from it, whereas the Kobo you don't really need to do anything unless you want to...
