I personally like to own my stuff so i wont join. I would not even join if it was free. But I see that it is an option for some people.
This is a total win situation for Amazon. It will increase kindle sales, will give Amazon more control over ebook market and will force local libs to their knees.

Well, considering that the competition
only offers apps, and that isn't considered unreasonable, I don't see what the problem is.
And that is your choice, but you are not necessarily representative of everyone else.
(I happen to agree with you, though. I also have a Kindle Touch.)
