Alan Hutcheson has the ability to describe everyday events in a way which makes you feel privileged to be there looking on. Characters come alive and entertain the reader.
Hopes of a lasting career in the theatre had to be adjusted and Darin Baer takes up teaching drama at his old high school where his dad often steals the scene and if he doesn't then his sausage dog does.
Gentle humour runs through every page and in my own busy day it was a delight to return to Darin and his journey towards finding the love he has long missed out on.
Beautifully written, superb style, akin to P.G. Wodehouse.
Yes, five stars it is - I loved it.
