It doesn't matter if it is expensive for
you if you don't already have a eink kindle - and epaper is the way for you to read. There is enough eink kindles around, and even with a small percentage to sign up for KU, the money coming in to Amazon will be huge.
I just signed up earlier today, and I seriously wanted to wait a while to see how first experiences work out for others. But then why wait, I already decided to pay for it. The deciding reason today was my wife - she reads more than I have time for. On average the money we spend each month on books will be cheaper, but the selection got a whole lot bigger. Before KU many books over $2.99 were just too expensive for as many books as mainly my wife reads. Most books are usually free or $0.99. KU got a lot of books for $4 and up - so selection instantly got really big for us.
The only books I will still plan on paying for are the last books in
The Dresden Files and it will take a while until they are written.
