To confirm kacir's and HarryT's response:
1) CC is developed and supported by me, my son Steven and his wife Annie. It is marketed by their company MultiPie Ltd.
2) Calibre is owned by Kovid Goyal, who spends (more than) full time working on it. I have donated multiple person-years of effort to calibre development. One of the things I maintain in calibre is the wireless device driver that CC uses.
