true, but then i would have to *carry* two carriers, whereas now i just have to stagger along under *one*. the storage is not the real problem, since i take the door off the front when not using it and stick it under the bed, and bast spends a significant portion of the day sleeping in it (
it's ironic how much she loves that thing as long as it stays under the bed).
actually i have A System for getting them into it. you could almost say i've developped it into a science. when possible, i take it out and put it in the living room several days ahead of time, so they have time to get used to the idea. that, at the crucial moment, when they suspect nothing, i very casually close the bathroom door and the bedroom door, and then grab the first one and stuff her inside. then i chase down the second one (who has caught on by now, and is invariably tearing around the room and dashing under furniture and such, but has nowhere to hide since i've closed off the rooms with inaccessible hidey holes) and try to keep the first one inside while shoving the second one in with her. this part is a LOT easier if i have a friend to help me, there's only so much you can do with two hands. the last two times it went without a hitch, although it is rather heartbreaking to see them pressing their faces to the wire door and sticking their paws out through it in an attempt to escape.
