At this point, KU is currently not worth $9.99, to me. If they can get the same publishers that Scribd has, then yes, it would be, because the KU books can be read on any kindle device, including eink, whereas Scribd books can't. When my trial is over, I'm unsubscribing.

If they had a discount for Prime members, such as $5, then I would keep it.
