Ahh, I try hard to make what what CC does predictable from what you see. But yes, there are magic things like the various long presses.

Tapping a group is just like tapping the sort menu. If you tap the groups title then series then author, and assuming that each autosorts to itself, then you will have the sort you are looking for. This isn't what I recommend, but is instead offered to explain why autosorts aren't Something/Random.
I am not in the least irritated.
