This does work, but the app only has a dark theme with white letters and the background is not dark on the T68. To add a shortcut use the 3rd entry which is activity. To see the choices there scroll by holding your finger on the page from bottom to top while scrolling and the choices will stay visible. When you find Onyx launcher there is more than one, but I chose the first one and it worked.
