For those that like Oyster and Scribd, good for you. Enjoy the service. Now lets see if their model is still working three years from now. It is a great thing to see different models slugging it out to see which model works best.

Whatever anybody may say about Amazon's pool model, it has survived and grown from 100K to over half a million despite insisting on exclusivity. So obviously the authors are satisfied or they would have defected.
