I too am very worried about the power issue...
I can get 3-4 hours of reading from my puny little Yakumo PDA, and that is with backlight (and touchscreen of course) switched on...so 4-6 hours from a 650 Euro eink device is bad, even with only minmal power management.
How on earth did they arrive at the number of 10000+ pageturns if the software is still nowhere near complete even a month after the actual targeted release date.

even the 21 hours they claimed (apparently with WiFi usage included) is hard to grasp if you look at it like that.

What the **** are they playing at? Did they sit down with a calculator and divide the capacity through the amount of power it theroretically takes to update an eink screen or what? It almost seems that way. I don't have the number, otherwise I'd try that method and see whether i get the same value...I sure hope this nightmare is over soon and turns to the good...battery life is my Nr.1 reason for buying this together with the good readability.

I just did a quick calculation...if you set the screen refresh to continuos and take 1.5 seconds for a screen refresh (complete with page loading) then you get 9600 pageturns in 4 hours...so if you read VERY fast you might manage the 10000 pages on one battery...
