Yes, something with HDX specs, 32GB, no Mayday for $150 would be of interest. But I really don't see Fire carving out much more market share than it already has, and it could well be in decline.
I assume folks have seen the recent reports that Amazon Instant Video is 'imminent' for Google Play. If they were hoping withholding it from the greater Android platform was going to support Fire sales, by now they must realize they would be better off being able to sell video to the other 50% of the mobile market (and one without the in app purchase restrictions of iOS).
True, the tablet market seems a bit saturated, and rumors are not flying about the forthcoming iPad or Nexus tablets, either. But I'm a lot more interested in those devices than a Fire.
