But the first time in the metadata edit, calibre exited mysteriously.  I have no idea why, and the logs show the error didn't [have a chance to?] happen.

on V1.201 calibre windows portable when I press the Menu/Application key in the Author Cell, but when I right click there calibre crashes - see attachment.
