And anticipating your next question, forster01, the best and easiest way to use kepubs and its dedicated renderer from your existing library of epubs is through Calibre KoboTouch Extended plug-in which replaces the default KoboTouch driver. Look for it in the Calibre plugin section of these forums.
Inside it enable an option called "Enable advanced Kobo features" or something like that. In this way when you transfer any epub from your library to the device using Calibre it will be automatically converted to kepub on the fly, while the epub on your HDD will be left untouched.
Give it a try. You can easily return to common epubs if you don't like how ACCESS differs from RMSDK.
Of course, books bought from Kobo bookstore are usually downloaded to the device or the desktop software in kepub flavour (and using its own DRM protection scheme different from the commonly used in epubs: Adobe's ADEPT).
Only one extra caution: your epubs must be DRM free or the Extended driver won't be able to convert them. So if you have ADEPT DRM protected epubs you should previously look for the help of an Apprentice called Alf in Google in order to unDRM them. No further help about unDRMing is allowed in these forums.
