I hope they solve the battery management/life issues. Otherwise, Pepperpad does MobiPocket and Cybook can swap batteries mid flight (though that really doesn't reduce the weight of the books so that isn't much progress, either).

Serious question: Is it allowed to use electronic gadgets during flights? Since I'm going to the US this summer, it would be grateful if you gave me this information. I would love to use my future e-paper device for the flight.
