@BearMountainBooks: I tried to purchase JUST ONE DAMN THING AFTER ANOTHER a couple of weeks ago and ran into the same problem. Kobo gave me store credit fairly quickly, but it was still a hassle.
Your post prompted me to de-lurk for the first time to express my dismay that this situation has been around for more than a while. Really, Kobo? I feel badly for the author as well as customers.
@cromag: I had a different problem with Anya Seton's GREEN DARKNESS, one of my all-time favorite books. Nowhere does it clearly state that this title can't be read on an Android device, but, according to Kobo, the publisher has restricted its availability for download. I received a store credit for that, too, but was really glad when the customer service person gave me another 50% discount code because I'd used that to purchase the book in the first place.
All of which is a long-winded way of saying you'll get the store credit, of course, but there should be consideration for a replacement discount coupon. Don't hesitate to ask if it's not offered.
