Well - that was exciting - I looked out the window at work and saw a solid mass of black cloud with embedded lightning heading straight toward us - so I jumped in the car and tore off for home - luckily most of my trip was parallel to the storm front - and I got home just as the torrential rain began to fall - to experience almost an hour of severe/dangerous storms with near continuous cloud to ground lightning ....
All survived in the roost - although I don't expect to see Goldie cat for several hours, and Stella cat is clinging to me. Sammie cat? She slept through it ...
