Sometimes these little, autobiographical vignettes sound like the enthralling start of some noir movie (which would also very easily turn to SF - just ask the Wachowski brothers). This has been one of them. So, protagonist or antogonist, mtravellerh? Or would you like to retain a cynical, non-specific advocacy of moral relativism?
