Hint: read the u-boot sources you just used to build u-boot.

Note: If you check my post above, I suggested that you do that to confirm the u-boot replacement code was still being included in the compiled sources.

Reading and understanding what you just built and now intend to install without testing is an important next step before you try to install and use it.
