PS, I am kidding about everyone hating Australians. But I do understand why Murg gets that feeling from Kobo. Its the same with us in NZ. In our house we have 4 legit NZ Kobo accounts and none of us ever receive any coupon codes or offers by email. We dont even get a heads up email about on site sales, like when they have a percentage off a certain list. I have ticked numerous boxes agreeing to receive promo's from Kobo but it never happens. If it wasnt for various message boards around the internet I wouldnt have a clue what the coupon box on the purchase page was even for.
Not only are books frequently more expensive here (which I can understand with tree-books due to shipping and distribution costs, but I dont understand with ebooks) but we dont get offered discounts the same as many other countries do.

I am in Texas. I have never gotten a coupon or sale announcement. I see announcements on the associate page for the 30 percent off sales and the 80 percent off sales--but only if I log in. As a customer, I haven't been 'missed' or told about the sales...so it must be Texas AND Australia...
