So he/she is used to getting free, self-published non-fiction books and she/he is looking for more of the same, with the caveat that his/her paranoia won't let her/him sleep at night for the fear of altered books. He/She wants some *proof* that the books he/she is getting aren't going to corrupt his/her mind.
So, I agree Helen. I think that EbookNovice is just what his/her username implies. Unfortunately for them, there is no answer. Like conspiracy theorists, all answers are suspect.
