Amazon vs Hachette affecting Whispersync deals?

Whenever I have checked for Kindle books over the past week, all of them have Audible editions but some don't have Whispersync for Voice. This isn't unusual, but I have noticed in the case of some Hachette published titles that Whispersync/Voice is missing and wondering if this is a casualty of the war between them and Amazon.

For example, James SA Corey's book 1 of the Expanse series, Leviathan Wakes:

No Whispersync, yet there is an audible edition. OK, strange, that is a popular book.

Book 2 of the series, Caliban's War, does have Whispersync for voice.

But Book 3 does not have Whispersync. Seems strange for a popular series! Something is fishy here.
