I don't care for lima beans so I leave them out, substituting kidney, navy, black, or what ever is around at the time. I also often add shrimp, cut up sausage, left-over meats, etc.... a good clean-up-the-fridge dish.

Sounds good. And Wheat free! . Just bought some pork chops, so I'll give it a go - just have to go out and buy some corn. And zucchini (or courgette as we know it). Don't know what lima beans are, but I do have kidney beans.

Yes! Sufferin' succotash! I remember it well.

What I have actually being doing right now is removing a dead pigeon from the top of our conservatory roof. There's a smudge on one of our bedroom windows, so I guess it flew into it, broke its neck and fell onto the conservatory. Bluebottles and maggots abounded, and the smell was rank. Not a fun task.
