Correctamundo. Indeed Salinger seems to have served as entertainment director (Wikipedia has it as "activity director and possibly as a performer") on the M.S. Kungsholm in the Carribean for a short time in 1941. That's one I'm surely going to read up on in the near future. Must have been a barrel of laughs.
