Hi GeoffR,
Thanks for your help. You were correct. It was a conversion/writing error for the occasional book. When done in small batches, it worked fine and I filled the little sd card to the brim.
I do have another questions, however. I think I shot myself in the foot. In my attempt to make 'collections' on my kobo so i didn't have to wander through thousands of individual titles, I went into the KoboTouchextended plugin, and adjusted the setting that would allow me to organize collections or shelf. This is what I put "#myshelves, tags"
I then added all of my books, thousands of them. Unfortunately, when i unplugged it, and it rebooted, all of my books are there, but if I press collections, it takes forever to open up. I mean 3-7 minutes (ok, not quite forever, but come on). It also indicates that I have 108 pages of collections. I am thinking this is what is slowing it down so much. Every tag has become it's own collection, and there were a lot of random tags.
Becuase of how bogged down and slow it is now, it is taking FOREVER to go into each collection, remove the book so it doesn't delete when I delete the collection, and then delte the collection. I've been doing it all night, and have about 5-6 collections so far.
When I open the kobo in Calibre, I can edit metadata and tags to my hearts content with the Calibre library, but I can't seem to do it with the books that are already copied onto my Kobo. I guess I could complete wipe it and do it over again, but I have MANY more books that space on this Kobo, so it was a long period of going through a huge amount of books to sort out the ones I wanted to put on it.
Is there anyway I can quickly edit tags in books already on my Kobo? Or is there someway or setting that I can change in Calibre that will change this without erasing or having to recopy all my books?
Thank you so much for your patience. It is appreciated!
