Things are quiet here for now, though there might be some overnight activity. The forecasters still haven't decided if what hit Virginia Beach earlier was a tornado or whether it was wind shear. One video of a funnel cloud did turn up, but it was unclear from the video if what was filmed made it all the way to the ground. One of my nieces in Portsmouth wrote on Facebook earlier today that she had left her house to go to work and after an hour had not made it out of Portsmouth because of all the flooded streets. All in all a good day to be retired.
