have you ever had a good one? Tequila is like scotch, there's good, bad, and basic paint thinner. For sipping, go for at least reposado. Aņejo is smoother, and extra Aņejo is even smoother. Blanco should be used for mixed drinks only. Most tequila starts with a peppery note and trails off to a fruit or earthy finish.

It's a hard liquor, more like a scotch or rum. I'd say it has more in common with rum as it's made with a plant rather than a grain.
