Thanks. The only app I've found so far, and I looked at quite a few, that provides a workaround to that is PDF Reader by Ivan Ivanenko. However, the free version has rather intrusive ads (the 'pro version' is inexpensive though) and an annoying page slide effect that you cannot turn off. It's also quite a basic reader.

A couple of more questions. I understand that at this point in time dictionaries are not included (Top Right Corner Menu -> Dictionary Selection -> "No dictionary exists"), correct?

Is highlighting in PDF documents not available either? I've only found the scribble. Clicking on 'Annotation' icon that suggests highlighting function takes me to an empty page titled 'Annotation'.
