That error means the database on the device is corrupt. You would probably have noticed problems like not remembering the reading status of books if you powered the device off.

If you have a recent backup, you can restore it. Otherwise the fix is to logout on the device and back in. That will create a new database and reload the books. Occasionally, that isn't enought and you need to do a factory reset.
