Today I bid farewell to my TV. It arrived in 1994, and gave no trouble until a few months ago, when it started to lose vertical hold. It had survived the digital changeover, thanks to a freeview box, and it even worked well with my latest Freeview HD PVR.
The new TV is a lot bigger, amazingly lighter, and has a full five year guarantee. But I'm not sure it will last until 2034...
BTW, I win.
