It's sad it's used 95% wrong most of the time. Bodice rippers went out of publishing a long time ago. Most people just don't know any better and it's wrong to the authors who write historical romance to call their books that when you see what a bodice ripper was and what it contained. These are
bodice rippers and they are not for the faint in heart to read.
