The resolution on the Aura HD, in terms of DPI, is indeed the best of the best. Unfortunately, the dithering (how the software translates colors and shades into a pattern of dots in only 16 shades of grey) is by far the worst of any current E-ink device I've tested, leaving large swaths of visible banding whereever there should be gradient shading. Not to mention the terrible pan and zoom controls. If you want to read Manga on e-ink (already a bad idea, in my oppinion,) the Paperwhite is the way to go. The Kobo excels at high resolution font rendering, (with the only 1 font that is both complete and adjustable with typegenius, but you can also sideload a variety of other fonts the community has modified to work well with e-ink.)
