I'm a big Amazon customer but I don't like Kindle tablets. However, the iPad Air is great to me. It's light enough to read for long period of times (I use it for PDFs mainly) and has a very solid ecosystem; there are apps for anything and everything. And the fact that hardware and software are made by the same company, helps me in case of any issues.
