I've added your nomination ccowie. issybird's exactly right, plus there's one other option as well - anyone can "make one's own nomination" so to speak in any month by selecting a group of specific various works such as short stories to be a nomination even if they don't form one complete or particular book; it's been done in the past by various members.


ETA- We have about 24 hours left for nominations and I'll use my last one to second the Joyce Carol Oates.
