In the past, I've had applications unable to start "because the license could not be verified." With regard to games to fill some time in a train station or something, I don't really care. However, I've been known to use stuff I like far beyond its economical lifespan.
If I really like that T68 when running a powerful and customizable reader application, it could be that I'm going to use it for many years. I don't want it breaking down. This could easily happen if Google says (for example) that Play version 4.5 is the last one that will be released for Android 4.0.4, and then later requires 5.0 to verify licenses.... In that case, you'd have a fully working reader with fully working applications, unable to run.
