Lawrence Block is pretty well-known. Kind of meant to be a funny thief caper. I normally like that stuff, but had some issues getting into it probably because I read too much Donald Westlake (The two are often compared.) Or perhaps it was the thief outside the fantasy world where I'm used to cloak and dagger and magic...
