When I was young, I worked for minimum wage (it was less than $2/hour) in an unairconditioned factory. My brother worked for $15/hour outside, in construction. He was the one who stayed home in bed, because it was too hot. I agree--$12.5 an hour in the middle of Kentucky sounds terrific. The fact that there is always someone waiting to take your place is telling. The family that quit because of the "inhuman" conditions, proudly said they never shop at Amazon anymore. Sorry, you go from a job that pays $12.5 an hour to unemployed--how much can you buy?
