I've had a similar cover for the Kindle Paperwhite, and I really didn't like it because of the magnets that are sticking out.

I imagine that the one thing that needs to be disabled for e-ink readers/tablets is the page and GUI animations. I expect the applications to work fine after that.
Also, I expect third party apps to start supporting the T68 page turn buttons within a few weeks, maybe even days. I've seen the button codes being posted already. Catching a button press event and executing the page turn routine in a program should be simple

(Maybe even one of the simplest parts in the program...)
