I finished Skin Game a few days ago, and I have to admit, it's not really my favorite of the books either. It's decent, and I think somewhat better than I felt Ghost Story and Cold Days were (Ghost Story I really felt was one of the weaker installments), but it's more a middle of the road for me compared to the other books in the series. There were definitely some interesting points, but I also think there was some lazy story telling at some points too. There's a part of me that kinda feels things really built up to the events of Changes, and Jim's kinda lost his way since then and has been having problems finding momentum again. And the Fomor are really not cutting it for me as a bad guy, they're getting old real fast and don't really seem to bringing much to the party. At least with this book we didn't have to deal with them much, the Nickelheads being a far more worthy opposition.
