I had a friend who trained her cat to use the toilet, but for some reason, he's only pee. He still used a litter box for defecating.
She said it caused a few odd moments at first....she'd be lying in bed half asleep, her husband beside her, the kids in their rooms...and suddenly she'd hear "someone" using the toilet! Gave her a few scares until she got used to it.
