As written, your comments don't quite give us enough information to be of much help to you. Asked a direct question, your response is useless. Not trying to be rude here, just honest - even if it inflicts a bit of pain. So, please answer the following questions as accurately as possible.
- What operating system is on computer #1, where calibre was installed?
- What operating system is on computer #2, where you tried to connect the external HDD to?
- Why are you trying to copy calibre, instead of installing it separately on computer #2? (Calibre is donationware so there is no mandatory cost for any install(s), regardless of number performed.)
- Why are you moving the external HDD? Moving your ebook collection (called a Library) around with you is fine, but perhaps what you're trying to do is better handled in some other manner.
I think that is enough to start to understand what you're trying to do and try to get some instructions together for you. If not, I'll ask more questions.
