Another day, another kick at the can.
Italy - Uruguay
Two teams that were highly ranked going in. Uruguay looked terrible in their first match and have to win to advance a tie puts Italy through. I figured on the team playing for a tie yesterday and well that didn't work out. I'm stumped on this.
Italy 2 -1
Costa Rica - England
Costa Rica has nothing to play for and neither does England. Even a victory today will be heralded as too little too late for their press. Which is sad. While they might not have a team or style that can win it all, they aren't a bad team. They are what they are and I think some countries need to realize how rarely some of us even get to cheer our team on.
England 2 - 0
Japan - Colombia
Colombia already have first place with their victory over Côte d'Ivoire, but what about Japan. They could advance if everything falls together with a Greece victory as well. But they don't deserve to advance.
Colombia 3 - 1
Greece - Côte d'Ivoire
Not a match you want to play needing a result to advance for Côte d'Ivoire. It wouldn't shock me if Greece advanced from this group either. I'm picking against Greece because I don't want to watch them in the knockout stage.
