Kovids method (the brown book icon) Reads the current cover from the selected book format into the Library.

I lean towards the Polish Method

1) Set(up) the Library cover and Metadata (as normal)
2) Polish it into the book
If the book has a cover, it will be replaced.
If it had none, it will now.

What completely happens, depends on your polish selections,
The nice thing about Polish, is it makes no other conversions.
