Long ago I saw the film of The Man Who Came to Dinner - Bette Davis was in it. I think the character was based on Alexander Woolcott, but I can't remember his name.
I've seen The White Devil too, but an extremely long time ago. Nothing remains but a feeling it was pretty nasty!
