Since you have already added the image you need to add an html file.
Select "File", "New file (image/fonts/HTML/etc.)" and enter something like "text/Cover.html". Move your new file to the top of the file list.
Place your cursor between the <body> and </body> tags, click on "Insert image" and select your cover image.
Mark Cover.html as your cover image and you're done.
