I like Jo Beverley, but her earliest books are...harder to read...because they are not typical. They have heavy themes and include things I don't generally like in romances (like infidelity of the main character, while married).
But her
To Rescue a Rogue is on my top-10 favorites list...if you can stand to skip books in a series.

Thank you, thank you, thank you! I bought it. She's releasing the sequel,
Skypirate, later this year. She also lists a 3rd book in the series,
Rebel Prince, coming in 2015. I don't know if this is a book I missed, or she's writing the book she always wanted to finish the series.
I actually have the first two in paperback - they were in that small group of books I kept when I moved and knew, since I was only reading digital versions, there wasn't a lot of point in keeping them, but I couldn't let those go.
For those not familiar with the series, I would call these "futuristics" not "science-fiction romance". They're sort of like the "mistoricals" Blossom talks about. The world-building isn't perfect, nor is the politics. But they're fun reads.
